01 — Open the official Groq Console
Create or sign in to your Groq account using the official console. Avoid third-party pages that ask to create a key for you.

Groq Cloud transcription requires a key created in your own Groq account. Never send the key to SteProTECH support or paste it into a contact form.
Open official Groq Console02 — Create an API key
Open the API Keys area, create a new key, and copy it when Groq displays it. Store it securely and do not share it.
03 — Add it to Whispr-Go
Open Groq API access in Whispr-Go, paste the key, and select Add & test. Whispr-Go encrypts the saved key for the current computer user.
04 — Or choose local transcription
If you do not want to send recordings to Groq, install a Faster-Whisper model and explicitly select the local engine.
