Privacy starts with an explicit choice of engine.

How Whispr-Go processes recordings, stores local information, and communicates with its licensing service.

01

Transcription processing

Groq Cloud sends the finished recording to Groq using the customer’s own API key. Faster-Whisper Local processes it on the computer and does not send it to Groq.

02

Information stored on the computer

Groq keys and licence credentials are protected for the current computer user. Settings, local history, logs, and downloaded models remain in the application data directory.

03

Licensing information

Activation and periodic validation send the licensed email, an opaque device identifier, computer name, and application version to the licensing service.

04

Microphone and clipboard

Microphone monitoring and the short test stay local. A completed transcript may be placed temporarily on the clipboard as a fallback when automatic paste is not confirmed.

05

Website preview

The preview contact and licence-management forms do not submit or store information. No analytics or advertising trackers are included.
